Measurements and Uncertainties

This section introduces the basic concepts of statistical and systematic uncertainties in experimental measurements. Also discussed are methods to combine measurements and deal with correlated quantities.

The exercise involves generating a correlated data set, determining the error matrix, and using the error matrix to evaluate the variance of a function of the variables.
